Calligraphers were invited to gather at the main corridor of the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to write Spring Festival couplets for the public. This year’s New Year celebrations were kicked off by the Keelung Changxing Lu Master Dragon and Lion Dance Troupe, and Lillian Dance Troupe was invited to perform. The writing ceremony was conducted by 14 calligraphers and distinguished guests, including Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Wang Shisi, Director of the National Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Wang Lansheng, Taipei City Vice Mayor Lin Yihua, Farglory Arena General Manager Li Baixi, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park Director Chen Yuxiu, Dan Lu Lian Shengyan, Chairman of the Cultural and Educational Foundation, Yang Xutang, President of the Calligraphy Court of the China General Academy of Culture and Art, Cai Mingzan, President of Calligraphy Education Monthly, Lin Liangyin, President of the Calligraphy Education Society of the Republic of China, Huang Zhiyang, President of the School of Art and Design of Huafan University, and Lai Junxian, Principal of Guangfu Elementary School , the winners of the calligraphy category of the Sun Yat-sen Youth Art Award, Ye Zonghe, Ye Xiuhong, Liu Yanchun and others jointly wrote the New Year’s couplet created by the famous calligrapher Lian Shengyan, “The world is full of joy and good fortune, Bo Haisheng sings of peace”.
