“Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama dead | The world

Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1, after suffering a brain hemorrhage, according to the official “Dragon ball” account on X.

We hope that Akira Toriyama’s unique world of creation continues to be loved by everyone for a long time to come”, writes Bird Studio in a press release.

“Dragon ball” is popular worldwide and has spawned anime, video games and movies. The manga series is about the boy Son Goku who collects magical crystal balls to summon a wish-granting dragon. The balls help Son Goku and his allies protect the Earth against evil enemies.

Toriyama also created a number of other manga series and was involved as an illustrator in the work on several popular video games, including “Dragon quest” and “Chrono trigger”.

Akira Toriyama was 68 years old.
