/ world today news/ The adoption of specific European emission directives may lead to the closure of the “Maritsa-East” complex.
We make a firm commitment that we will do everything possible and save the Bulgarian energy industry, Dragomir Stoynev, leader of the “BSP for Bulgaria” coalition in the Staro Zagora region and former Minister of Economy and Energy, said today.
According to him, it is incomprehensible how the Ministry of Environment and Water did not find a lobby in the European Commission on the problems with coal-fired installations, the BSP press center reported.
“The necessary political pressure must be exerted. In addition to our MEPs, those from other countries should also be lobbied. If necessary, there should be exceptions for Bulgaria and Poland”, Stoynev was categorical. According to him, politics is done with character, not standing and listening to what European officials tell us. He recalled what was done for “Mini Maritsa-Iztok” during his administration and asked when the two excavators provided by the government of Plamen Oresharski will be operational.
“The financial situation at Maritza-East 2 TPP is getting worse and worse. However, this does not prevent people from being appointed there”, explained the ex-minister. It is possible that this is deliberate in order to move towards the denationalization of the plant. “BSP will not allow privatization in the energy sector, we will fight for the state-owned enterprises”, Dragomir Stoynev was categorical.
The leader of the list of “BSP for Bulgaria” in Stara Zagora also explained that our economy should be based on domestic investments and pointed to the creation of two funds to improve the environment. Fund “Industry” – for equity investment and Fund “Innovations” – for young enterprising scientists. He specified that the BSP program envisages the creation of a Bulgarian financial holding, where everything entrepreneurs need is in one place. “Professionalism in the management of state-owned enterprises will also be required, as well as a severance of the relationship between politicians and company management,” he added.
Dragomir Stoynev also presented the list of coalition “BSP for Bulgaria” for the 27th multi-mandate constituency. “This is a winning, strong and expert list. Here are the people who are specialists in local government management, education, healthcare, economy, agriculture, security,” said the guide. According to him, the candidates for people’s representatives from the coalition know how to solve problems not only at the local, but also at the national level.
“We want the revival of Bulgarian education”, said Ivan Krastev, former Deputy Minister of Education. According to him, the main priorities are related to preserving the existing school network, normative regulation of dual education, the introduction of one textbook in the educational process, etc. According to him, all this can happen by devoting a greater percentage of the Gross Domestic Product to education.
Ivan Cholakov, former director of the Stara Zagora ODMVR, called for improvement of the material and technical base and stability of the security system. According to him, better working conditions, reduction of the subjective factor in the detection of violations and improvement of people in the system will lead to good results.
“Because of the country’s economy, if everyone is reasonable, the next government should have a full mandate”, Dragomir Stoynev was categorical.
