Dragged Drugs! This is Ardi Bakrie’s Assets & Number of Issuers

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Bakrie family business and its actions in the capital market have always been a concern of market players, especially since the group, which started as CV Bakrie & Brothers, which was founded by the late Achmad Bakrie since the 1940s, has many publicly listed companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The names of Bakrie’s listed companies that are quite wanted by investors include PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), its gold mining subsidiary PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), and media issuers namely PT Visi Media Asia Tbk (VIVA).

Now, since last Thursday (8/7), the group that has entered the third place has been in the public eye again after Anindra Ardiansyah Bakrie or commonly known as Ardi Bakrie, the son of Aburizal Bakrie, was reportedly arrested with his wife, Nia Ramadhani, in connection with alleged drug abuse. .

Even in a press conference Thursday afternoon, the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Yusri Yunus Yun said that Ardi and Nia’s status had become suspects. Not only Nia and Ardi, but their driver with the initials ZN is also a suspect.

“There are three people who have been named as suspects, namely ZN (43) is a driver or assistant. Then RA (31) is a housewife or artist, and AAB (42) is a private employee,” Yusti said in a press statement at the Central Jakarta Police.

Ardi who was born in Menggala, Tulang Bawang, on April 22, 1979 is one of the youngest sons of Aburizal Bakrie, the second generation of the Bakrie Group.

Ardi married in 2010 to Nia Ramadhani, a rising artist at the time, and they have three children, namely Mikhayla Zalindra Bakrie, Mainaka Zannati Bakrie and Magika Zalardi Bakrie.

CNBC Indonesia tries to find out how much Ardi is involved in Bakrie Group companies, although in terms of share ownership above 5%, none of the group issuers has listed Ardi’s funds in the shareholder list. However, it could be that the ownership is below 5% so that publication is not required.

There are at least 11 Bakrie Group companies listed on the IDX that have become public companies. The 11 issuers are Energi Mega Persada (ENRG), Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS), Bakrie Sumatra Plantations (UNSP), and Bumi Resources (BUMI).

Next are Intermedia Capital (MDIA), Visi Media Asia (VIVA), Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR), Bakrie Telecom (BTEL), Darma Henwa, Bakrieland Development (ELTY), and Graha Andrasentra Propertindo (JGLE).

In detail, Ardi’s personal wealth has not been revealed. Only the Bakrie Group’s business entities are listed through PT Bakrie Global Ventures (formerly PT CMA Indonesia).

At Visi Media Asia (VIVA) which manages the television station TvOne (PT Lativi Mediakarya) and the online news site Viva (Viva Media baru), the latest financial report (March 2021) notes that Ardi is VIVA’s Vice President Director, while VIVA’s President Director is the CEO of VIVA. Brother Anindya Novyan Bakrie.

It’s just that, referring to VIVA’s financial report data in March 2021, there is no private share portion from Ardi Bakrie.

The largest share of VIVA is held by Bakrie Global Ventures with a share of 52.69% or the equivalent of 8,839,399,293 shares.

With an estimated VIVA share price at an average price of Rp 56/share last Thursday (8/7), the valuation value of Bakrie Global’s shares reached Rp 495 billion.

As for Intermedia Capital (MDIA), a subsidiary of VIVA, there is no name of Ardi Bakrie in the shareholders or the board of directors.
