Morgane Taylor and the famous Lova Ladiva and Elips from Drag Race France will perform a show on Tuesday October 8 at the Véo cinema in Muret, before the screening of the documentary “Out” directed by Estelle Carbonneau. This film relates a part of Elips’ life and retraces his career.
The three friends from different worlds, but who complement each other, will put on a show in several numbers, where they will perform in turn. Lova Ladiva, an artist from Toulouse, characterizes herself as a funny drag queen: “I like to do numbers with mischief. My character looks like a bottle of orangina, a bit like Kim Kardashian. I don’t do dance numbers , my step is way too heavy,” she laughs. “I dove into the drag queen world 16 years ago. I had the personality, but not the makeup, then when I met Morgane, my best friend ever since, she brought the side to me. professional, she says. Since I did Drag Race, my career has taken on another dimension, I am called to the international scene. Our job is made to make the public forget about everyday life, always with kindness. ” Morgane and Lova helped revive drag in the Pink City, around fifteen years ago, when only cabaret transformists were performing since there were no longer any drag artists. Morgane Taylor started with open scenes in a cabaret: “First in cabaret, then I threw myself into the deep end to embrace the career of a drag queen, 16 years ago. I am a drag dancer, glamorous , I love rhinestones, feathers and beautiful outfits. My strong point is dancing.” “Elips identifies as queer drag, she has a more androgynous character than us, both feminine and masculine with more extravagant makeup. Her performances are more committed than ours,” explains Morgane.
