The Great Dictation of the Dutch Language on NPO Radio 1 was won among the prominent by Jean-Marc van Tol. The draftsman of Fokke & Sukke, who also wrote historical novels, made seven mistakes.
In the program The Language State ten prominent figures competed against ten listeners. In the latter group, Olav van Kessel won with two errors.
The text was about the corona virus. It was written by linguist Wim Daniëls and was read by former chairman of the Lower House Gerdi Verbeet.
Radiohuis
Due to the corona measures, the dictation was not broadcast from the new library in Utrecht, as was intended, but from the Radiohuis in Hilversum. The participants played, often from their own living room, via the internet.
