Dr. Mihailov was referring to the press conference given today by ITN Vice-Chairman Toshko Yordanov, “Slavi’s Show” screenwriter Filip Stanev and Nikolay Vassilev – who was first nominated and then withdrawn as a candidate for prime minister by the party.
At this press conference, Yordanov made it clear that they will not hold political talks about the draft composition of their cabinet – whoever wants to, can vote for it. But they will not support a cabinet nominated by another political force, therefore – either there will be their cabinet or it will go to elections.
“If the political class is tricked into their expectations as they have been lately, it is not out of the question that they will get angry. It may not be tomorrow, but eventually they will fall from power, which is extremely painful. Those who crave that power will fall. I dare not to guess who will come. What happened today – Mr. Toshko Yordanov is an intelligent person – he said something that will alarm the analysts – that this party is determined not to play the coalition game, which from the point of view of political reason is mandatory. Because it is not clear how this cabinet will be supported,” said Dr. Mihailov.
“There is a radicalism in ‘There is such a people’, which is post facto ironic,” psychiatrist Dr. Nikolay Mihailov also said in the show “Face to Face”.
According to him, there is no way ITN can manage alone for a long time.
“They will have to talk in some way or think about the figures they will propose,” said Mihailov.
“We will offer you an office because we have the right according to all the rules. You have the right to support it or not. If not, then you will have the opportunity to form a cabinet, but do not count on our support,” Mihailov said.
He described this as political irresponsibility.
“ITN cannot help but be frightened by what it has done because we have seen the tension in the last two days. However, there was a surprise. There was some idea that Slavi Trifonov’s psartia is led by people who have a sense of the audience’s reaction and broadcast adequate messages. It turned out that Trifonov’s list of messages, however, made the viewer wonder if he had fallen into some ironic, fairy-tale or cosmic dimension. The idea of a Macedonian and Bulgarian cosmonaut crossed the lines of decency. It was necessary to quickly and urgently minimize the damage.
This press conference today was partially successful. Today the focus has shifted to the things that are being said about him and he seems to be hearing them for the first time to experience them dramatically.” This was stated by the psychiatrist Dr. Nikolay Mihailov to BTV.
“They were wrong! Many questioned the extent to which ITN was capable of talking to the other parties on which it was dependent in parliament. Instead, next to Toshko Yordanov there was one person, Filip Stanev, who tried to make a ridiculous insult to one of the female journalists present, which was discouraging. In one country, the law must provide for criminal liability for vulgarity.
Democracy is an attitude towards the persons who participate in the process, including the so-called sovereign. In the end, whoever takes her as a child of cement will fall from power, but after that I don’t know who will rule. Toshko Yordanov stated that he will not play the coalition game, which is however mandatory in this case. It is not clear how their cabinet will survive without consultations.
I remember only one such party that managed to radically attack the status quo, and that was the DSB. It is more likely that a Bulgarian and a Macedonian will fly into space than that ITN will rule for a long time,” said Dr. Mihailov.
