The director of the Academic Division of Health Sciences (DACS), Dr. Mirian Carolina Martínez López, presented her 2nd. Academic Activities Report for the period October 2023–October 2024.

This Wednesday, October 30, at 9:00 a.m., the presentation ceremony for his second term began, with the rector of the university as guests in the presidium. The Doctor, also the Research and Postgraduate Coordinator, declared the legal quorum in the covered court of this division so that according to the Sixth Chapter, Article 63, Eighth Section of the General Statute and Article 35 of the Organic Law of the UJAT, deliver in writing to the Governing Board, the Rector and the Divisional Council the annual report on the academic activities of the Division.

In addition to the delivery of the document, a video was presented showing all the actions carried out in the DACS in the period October 2023-October 2024.

After its screening, Dr. Mirian Carolina Martínez López, issued her message referring to the report, thanking everyone present. In the presence of students, teachers, state and university authorities, as well as the College of Directors, the director of the DACS, Mirian Carolina Martínez López, stressed that by using technology, free access and educational resources are provided through the Access Medicine platform. All students and in addition to doing internships in clinical simulators are supported with scholarships from both the federal government and the one provided by the UJAT Volunteering through the “Sponsor a Student” program.

Likewise, he highlighted the quality of the research professors, of which 97% have postgraduate studies, and the 36 professors who belong to the National System of Researchers are in the CONAHCYT Registry as accredited evaluators, 62 of them have PRODEP profile and 74 have ESDEPED.

Regarding the evaluation of undergraduate and graduate programs, Martínez López pointed out that all courses are accredited by organizations belonging to COPAES and are part of the CENEVAL High Academic Performance Register, while seven graduate programs belong to the System. National Graduate School.

Finally, the director of the DACS, delivered to the rector of the UJAT and the president of the H. Governing Board, Gildardo López Baños, the printed document of the Second Activities Report of the DACS, which shows the progress obtained in the substantive areas. from the university.

Divisional Council, valued the increase in the number of teachers assigned to the National System and the State System of Researchers, with productivity in scientific articles and the writing of books, In addition, the number of students participating in the Summer of Scientific Research increased and they have also fulfilled administrative matters through adequate use of resources.

During the Second Report of Academic Activities 2023-2024, the rector stated that in the face of these challenges, a comprehensive and collaborative response is required, in which both the educational system and the health area participate, “fortunately, the UJAT has always had the support of the state authorities.”

In that sense, he highlighted the linkage work that this study center has carried out through collaboration networks with peer educational institutions, through general and specific agreements, as well as its participation in social support actions for the Tabasco community.
