A will written by Gao Yaojie in 2016 is circulating on the Internet, which mentions “sprinkle my ashes into the Yellow River as soon as possible after death.”

Gao Yaojie has won numerous awards throughout her life, and she was unable to receive many international awards in person when she was in China. In 2007, the International Astronomical Union’s Asteroid Nomenclature Committee named asteroid No. 38980 “Gao Yaojie”. Since then, her name has been with heaven and earth.
