Dr Disrespect, one of the largest Twitch streamers in the world is said to have been permanently banned from the Amazon platform. If the reasons are still unknown, the sentence would be irrevocable.

For its part, a Twitch representative, contacted by Dexerto, sent the following declaration by email:
“As our process works, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our community guidelines or terms of use. These apply to all streamers, regardless either their status or their importance in the community. “
If we still wait for the main interested party to officially speak, his wife, Mrs Assassin posted a message on Instagram to thank the fans for their support without providing further explanations.

The theories around the reasons for his ban are necessarily going well. The most likely at the moment would be a ban for DMCA. We recently saw that the powerful American labels were starting to take an interest in streamers and Twitch clearly warned its users against the use of music protected by copyright.

In the meantime, subscriptions taken on Dr Disrespect’s channel have been reimbursed and his emotes are no longer available, a measure that seems final for the streamer and his community. Likewise, its partnership with Discord would have been withdrawn.
Twitch have cancelled subscriptions to Dr Disrespect’s channel and are sending out refunds. His emotes are also no longer available.

Shortly before his suspension, Dr Disrespect had signed a exclusivity contract last March with Twitch and was followed by over 4.5 million people.
