Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, President of the World Council of Muslim Communities, met with a Chinese delegation headed by Ilzat Ahmad Can, a member of the Standing Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Party of China, at the Council’s headquarters in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields, discussing issues of concern to Muslim communities, as well as combating hate speech and extremism, and emphasizing the dissemination of the values of respect for the rule of law, citizenship, and integration, as well as the concepts of religious, ethnic, and cultural pluralism, in a way that achieves cooperation and solidarity. The discussions also touched on ways to formulate scientific, academic, economic and rehabilitation programs to confront extremist ideology and hate speech, in a manner consistent with the circumstances of members of Muslim communities in the countries in which they live, and seeking to enhance the positive role of Muslims in various parts of the world.
