The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance e-governance and streamline services. This agreement was signed by Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Information Communication Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. By adopting digital transformation, the DPWH is planning to improve its operations’ efficiency and effectiveness, as well as making its services more accessible to the public. The DPWH will accept online payments for various services like purchase of bidding documents, testing fees, accreditation fees and permit application fees. The DICT will study, evaluate and develop additional applications and systems to better integrate existing applications and systems of the DPWH.
