DPS dismissed Delyan Peevski as president and expelled him from the party

DPS released Delyan Peevski as president and expelled him from the party at a meeting of the central operating office, the movement announced.

Halil Letifov, Iskra Mihailova-Koparova, Yordan Tsonev, Stanislav Anastasov were removed as vice-presidents and were also expelled from the party. The party’s 10 regional presidents were also announced. New samples of DPS stamps have been approved and the previous ones have been cancelled.

“The systemic breach by the above people in the Party Statute, because the decisions of the National Conference were not implemented, the general bodies of the party and the honorable chairman of the DPS are placed in danger is not just the unity of the party, but its existence with the ideas and philosophy of the founder of the party – Dr. Ahmed Dogan, applied in the Statute of the DPS and the documents of the program”, the party says.

They say that the relevant provisions in the DPS statute give the Honorable Chairman Ahmed Dogan and the Central Bureau of Operations the reason to return the normal activities of the party and its general organizations and structures to overcome the those risks and that the party will effectively and fully participate in the political life of the country.

On July 10, Ahmed Dogan asked Delyan Peevski to resign and wrote that there was an attempt at a party coup within the DPS “to use party power for personal and group interests and, above all, everything, change the political image. of the party.” A response followed Peevski, who announced that no one could stop the new beginning.

After that, it was reported that Dogan was unable to gather a majority to call a meeting of the Central Operations Bureau and legitimize its decisions.

The DPS press center told bTV tonight that the operational bureau does not need a quorum, as the will of Ahmed Dogan is over it.

The Vice-Chairman of the DPS, Ilhan Kyuchuk, told bTV that the information about the lack of quorum in the previous attempts to call a meeting of the operational bureau was “disinformation from Delyan Peevski’s media clubs”. He pointed out that a majority has not been sought so far, as there was no intention to ban Peevski. It remains to be seen whether he cares about the party or wants to destroy it. He says that Peevski does not want to be a good distributor, but very different, and this has made use of these activities.

Kyuchuk said that the exclusion is based on Art. 6 of the statute, according to which it is applied for misconduct, including:

  • breach of party confidentiality, exceeding the powers given to him, discrediting the Movement for Rights and Freedoms in the mass media;
  • creating conditions for schism and factionalism, threatening the integrity of the party and its governing bodies
  • proven corruption, financial abuse or abuse of office

“Today’s decisions are at the discretion of all members of the DPS, who respect human dignity, freedom, democracy, the rule of law, as well as respect for human rights, the right to identity, giving including the rights of people belonging to ethnic minorities. , are the basic values for which DPS is the reason!
