The pursuit of traffic police inspectors for a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in the town of Partizansk, Primorsky Territory, ended with shooting and detention, according to IA PrimaMedia.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Primorsky Territory, in the evening, while on Revolution Street in the city of Partizansk, a traffic police squad noticed a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, the driver of which was behaving suspiciously on the roadway. The driver did not fulfill the requirements of the traffic police inspector to stop, while trying to escape. The pursuit was organized by the outfit of the State Traffic Inspectorate.

“While driving, the driver of the pursued car repeatedly violated the traffic rules: he was driving at high speed, leaving the oncoming lane, meandering along the roadway, creating a real threat to the life and health of citizens, while he did not react to the inspectors’ repeated requests to stop,” said in a message from the department.

After repeated warnings, traffic police inspectors fired two warning shots from a service weapon into the air. After some time, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was blocked at a dead end near Teplichnaya Street.

The driver of the SUV showed signs of alcoholic intoxication, the man refused repeated requests to introduce himself and present documents for the right to drive, and he also refused to undergo an intoxication test.

In relation to the offender, administrative materials were drawn up on an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle by a driver in a state of intoxication) and Part 1 of Article 19.3 (Disobedience to a lawful order or request of a police officer). A fan of fast and drunk driving will be obliged to pay a fine of 30 thousand rubles. In addition, he faces a deprivation of rights for a term of 1.5 to 2 years.
