Commission VII DPR RI recommends the government to replace the Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). In addition, Commission VII recommended that BPK conduct a special audit.
“Commission VII DPR RI recommends conducting a special audit with specific objectives related to the use of the BRIN budget ceiling for the 2022 fiscal year by BPK RI,” said the conclusion of the Commission VII hearing meeting with the Head of BRIN which was read out by the Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Sugeng Suparwoto, Monday (31 /1/2023).
“Commission VII DPR RI urges the government to immediately replace the head BRIN RI remembers that the BRIN problems at BRIN have not been resolved,” he added.
After reading the conclusion, Sugeng seemed to ask the DPR members whether he agreed or disagreed with the proposal.
“Agree?” Sugeng asked.
Sugeng then did the hammer knocks.
The meeting was also attended by the Head BRIN Like Tri Handoko. After the conclusions were read, Tri Handoko responded that he would conduct an internal audit.
“So we will immediately carry out an internal investigation regarding the matters that have been conveyed by you ladies and gentlemen,” said Tri.
During the meeting, previously DPR RI member Maman Abdurrahman highlighted the use of the BRIN budget in 2022.
The agenda for Commission VII’s meeting with the Head of BRIN today actually discussed the allocation of the BRIN budget for the 2023 fiscal year. Commission VII wants to receive an explanation regarding program plans that are directly related to the community with the 2023 BRIN budget.
