Lai Ruilong said that according to Article 12 of the “DPP Disciplinary Review and Adjudication Regulations”, “Members of the party who violate disciplines and run for elections without nominating them shall be expelled.” In addition to the punishment of expulsion for violating disciplines by participating in elections, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China also decided , for those who have not been nominated to quit the party and run for elections, according to Article 9, Item 3 of the “DPP Nomination Regulations for Candidates for Public Offices”, “Any party member who has not been nominated, even if he applies to withdraw from the party and runs for elections, will not be affected again in the future.” Those who apply to join the Party must follow the procedures for those who apply to join the Party and then apply for nomination and registration.” This is regarded as a sanction of expulsion for violating disciplines and participating in the election. This time, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China also determined that there was a fact of quitting the Party and participating in the election.
