DPD member RI Sudirman or Haji Uma asked the Metro Jaya Police Inspector General, General Karyoto, to investigate trans beauty pageant which was held at a hotel in the central area of ​​Jakarta. In fact, this is an insult to the field of Islamic law, because Aceh has a special law regarding sharia law which is regulated by Law 11 of 2006 regarding assignments,” Haji Uma told journalists at the Police Headquarters Metro Jaya, Friday (9/8/2024).

At the same time, Sudirman came to Polda Metro Jaya to deliver a letter to the Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto, asking for an investigation into the transgender baby. .

As is known in the video that is circulating, the winner of the competition is a beauty queen representative of Aceh Province. He said that the cross-breed competition in Aceh had caused anger among the people of Aceh.

“Public figures became very angry in Aceh and there was controversy that the representative of the participants of the competition called themselves and wore the Acehnese sash which caused a stir. protesting, religious scholars, community figures, government figures,” he explained.

Sudirman emphasized several things in the letter sent to Inspector General Karyoto. Including the most important thing is the naming of the Province of Aceh which he considers to be an insult to the Islamic law that applies to Aceh.

“Their participation in this competition was based on a will from where? On the basis of hiring from where? Not suddenly, they came to call themselves Aceh. Even if Aceh is not familiar with transsexual competitions, they do not exist. We use Islamic law there,” he explained.
