Dozens of livestock in Madina were vaccinated against snoring

Panyabngan (ANTARA) – Dozens of cattle and buffalo livestock in Mandailing Natal (Madina) Regency, North Sumatra, received vaccines, vitamins and antibiotics from the local agriculture service as an effort to prevent the spread of Septicaemia Epizootia (SE) or snoring.

Head of the Natal Mandailing Agriculture Service Siar Nasution in Panyabungan said Thursday that up to now 72 cattle and buffalo have been vaccinated in the district.

Siar detailed that the 72 animals that were vaccinated were under the auspices of the Panyabungan Health Center and the Bukit Malintang Health Center.

“The livestock that we have vaccinated consist of 52 cattle in the Panyabungan Puskeswan area and 17 cattle in the Bukitit Malintang Puskeswan area,” he said.

Siar hopes that by injecting the vaccine, livestock will gain immunity. Thus livestock will be prevented from spreading the snoring virus.

In addition to maximizing injections in the Mandailing Godang area, this vaccine will also be administered in the Kotanopan District and Natal District areas.

“To anticipate the spread of snoring, we are maximizing vaccine injections for cattle and buffalo species at certain points. Livestock owners are not charged any fees for each vaccine injection. They are only asked to continue to monitor livestock if signs of disease are found. snoring,” he said.

He said, the Panyabungan and West Panyabungan sub-districts were the main focus for vaccine injections, because the distance between these areas was quite close when viewed from the danger of spreading the virus.

“The stocks of vaccines and vitamins that we hold to date are still sufficient. I have directed members in the field to work optimally in administering injections. That is our effort so far,” said Siar.
