Coronavirus is setting unpleasant records in Croatia. The country on the Adriatic already has 2,052 active cases. In the last day, 306 people became infected there, the most since the beginning of the pandemic. This follows from data from the Croatian Public Health Office.
The most unaffected area remains the Split-Dalmatia County (542 infected), where the most popular tourist resorts are located. Tens of thousands of Czechs spend their holidays there every year. In the capital Zagreb, they have 490 infected.
And it is some of the Czech vacationers who return home with coronavirus. In the last week, the infection affected 35 people who were in Croatia. Since the beginning of the summer holidays, 142 people have become infected there.

The Ministry of Health urges caution in relation to Croatia. “Numerous cases of covid-19 infection are now recorded in participants of mass events during holidays in Croatia. After returning to the Czech Republic, we therefore recommend increased caution.

In Croatia, 7,900 cases have been confirmed since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 5,678 people have already recovered. The coronavirus claimed 170 lives in the country.
