Dozens of Children in Kupang Infected with Dengue Fever

Merdeka.com – A total of 18 children in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) were reported to be being treated for suffering from Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).

The Head of the P2P Division of the Kupang City Health Office, Tiur Saragih, told reporters that the total number of DHF patients up to January 9, 2022 was 18 cases.

“There are a total of 18 cases of dengue fever, but there are no reports of deaths,” he explained, Thursday (13/1).

According to Tiur Saragih, according to data on dengue fever sufferers in Kupang City in 2021, there were 661 cases, with three deaths or 0.5 percent, but no Extraordinary Events (KLB).

The concentration of the distribution of dengue fever in Kupang City is in densely populated areas such as Oebufu, Kelapa Lima, Liliba, Oebobo, Fatululi, Oesapa, Sikumana, Tuak Daun Merah (TDM) and Kayu Putih villages.

“For this year, dengue cases are concentrated in areas with densely populated settlements in several urban villages,” said Tiur.
