At least 35 people have been killed in a fire on a ferry in Bangladesh. Dozens of people have been hospitalized with burns.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire in the engine room started after an explosion. The fire was extinguished only after a few hours, the boat was completely destroyed.
The figures for deaths and injuries are provisional. Some of the passengers jumped overboard. A number of them drowned, people were also taken out of the water by fishing boats. It is not clear how many are missing.
