/ world today news/ In the BSP, we are outraged by the decision of the Governing Council of the BNR to remove the “Deconstruction” show, hosted by Petar Volgin, from the air.
Taken under severe pressure from the chairman of the CEM and after the threat of a fine, such censorship does neither the regulator nor public radio credit. Accusations of a lack of pluralism sound absurd for a show that largely provides a free line for citizens. Volgin, Androlova and Petrov’s comments are what they think they should be and that should be enough to keep them from practicing their profession. BSP is the most frequently criticized party, many of the presenters are particularly aggressive when our representatives are guests, but never – especially when we were in power! – we did not allow ourselves to violate the principle of freedom of speech. On the contrary, during the discussions of the annual report of the CEM in the parliament, we were among the few who criticized the activity of this body and emphasized its unnecessaryness, because of the way it functions.
And if someone believes that it is forbidden to speak openly against neoliberalism, American politics or any other phenomenon, let them draw up a public list of the topics that are closed to criticism!
In the media space occupied by BIG and VIP Brother, there is no place for “Deconstruction”, is there?
