In full boom of coronavirus cases and with the country raising its cumulative incidence figures by autonomous communities, Spain faces its last challenge of the year in the coming days in its particular fight against coronaviurs: Christmas.
At the beginning of December, the Interterritorial Health Council agreed on a series of measures for all territories the country to control travel and Christmas gatherings. At that time, Spain was in full decline in COVID-19 cases, but a few weeks later there are already many CCAA that have increased these restrictions given the recent rise in cases.
Among the most important restriction measures that have been altered in recent days are curfews, the maximum number of people that can meet in social gatherings or perimeter confinements by region. With regard to the latter, there are some communities that have already established the obligation to possess a safe conduct to be able to enter and leave the area at Christmas.
Although there is no single model, the documents are very similar and They must include the name, surname, address and ID, in addition to the reasons for leaving or entering the autonomous community and the destination to which it is going. Information about the person to be visited should also appear.
Aragon
In Aragon there are two document models to justify the displacements of those who leave or enter the region. One of the models is used to justify travel between perimeter areas of Aragon, while the second is used for those trips that take place to go to the homes of relatives.
Catalonia
In Catalonia, from December 23 to January 6, you can leave the community or the region to visit relatives or visit second homes as long as it is with a coexistence unit, but for this you must present a document of responsibility.
This document asks you to prove the reason for the displacement between a series of preset options: Attendance at health centers, compliance with work or legal obligations, going to class, returning to the place of residence, caring for the elderly, minors or dependents; renewal of permits and other administrative procedures that cannot be postponed, conducting exams or exercising the right to demonstrate.
Madrid’s community
The Community of Madrid has implemented a model of “responsible declaration” to enter and leave the Community of Madrid during the perimeter closure between 00:00 on December 23 until 23:59 on January 6.
In the document you must give some personal data of the people who move and the relatives who are visited during the Christmas closing period.
The Rioja
The Government of La Rioja allows that between December 23 and 26 and between December 30 and January 2, citizens can travel to visit relatives and friends. To do this, they will have to carry a responsible statement specifying the route and identifying data of those who travel and the person who is being visited.
Navarra
The Navarra region also establishes perimeter closures from December 23 to December 26 and from December 30 to January 2. During these days, trips to visit relatives and friends are allowed as long as they have the necessary safe-conduct to leave or enter.
Navarra’s “Responsible declaration to justify travels” includes gaps to fill in the data of the people who travel and others to explain who is the person who is going to visit at Christmas.
Basque Country
The document to justify travel in the Basque Country is very similar to the Navarrese one. Of December 23 to 26 and from December 30 to January 2, trips are allowed to visit relatives and friends, but if the authorities detain you during the trip, you will have to present a document with two parts explaining the data of travelers and those of the people to be visited.
