A report by “Amnesty” reveals a “doubling” of deaths in prisons in Lebanon
In 2022, a BBC Arabic team witnessed with the naked eye the overcrowding and deteriorating health conditions of prisoners in Roumieh prison, with the exacerbation of the economic and financial crisis in the country.
Recently, Amnesty International reported a doubling of deaths in prisons between 2018 and 2022.
