Today 6/8, the 32-year-old accused of raping and brutally beating his partner in Didymoteiho crossed the threshold of the prosecutor in Orestiada.
The 32-year-old, who insisted he never raped his partner but hit her, asked for and was given a deadline to apologize on Friday. The 32-year-old is known to the authorities since he has been free with restrictive conditions since February, following a complaint by his ex-partner for domestic violence.
The perpetrator held the 32-year-old prisoner for 22 days, raping and brutally beating her. The two met online, with the 32-year-old going to Didymoteicho to meet him and live with him, but she ended up experiencing the absolute nightmare. The findings of the forensic report show the hell he lived through for 22 days, as it turns out that the blows he suffered were also caused by sticks.
The 32-year-old mother of 5 managed to escape when she entered a tavern desperately asking for help.
“I beat her too much”
The perpetrator allegedly posted videos on his personal TikTok page, in which neither he nor at what point is seen, narrating how he met the girl and admitting to hitting her.
“They have said about me that I have raped a girl. The girl is from Chrysochori. We met this girl through TikTok. We started talking, but because she is illiterate in her position, her son answered me. Then we got each other’s Facebook. At first we sent recordings to each other and then we also opened a camera. We had arranged to get married. She seemed like a very nice girl. When we decided to get married, I told her to come to Didymoteicho to find me, to take a bus,” he said.
“She told me she didn’t have any money and I told her to send it to her. I sent her 35 euros and it came the same day. He stayed with me exactly one month. We went shopping in Didymoteicho, we also went for walks. This girl drinks a lot though. After five days I brought her the Gospel to make her swear that she would never drink again, because she was no longer going. She told me she can’t do that and even asked me for hashish. I told her that if she doesn’t swear to stop, we will break up and she will leave the house,” he added.
“I was telling her to go away and leave me and take the bus. We were passing by a tavern. I was in front talking and she was behind me. Suddenly I heard a commotion and saw her enter a tavern.
He has climbed up on a table and was shouting “please help me, he is beating me and hitting me”. And I look at them and they all look at me. And I told her what are you doing and everyone was telling me not to bother the girl. I got scared and started running.
I beat her up a lot, no lie. But I beat her up a lot when she told me she was going to go to the police and lie about me raping my daughter. In short, I am currently not in Didymoteicho, I am elsewhere. I swear to you that I will go to the police, I will go to the Prosecutor in Didymoteicho and I will tell everything. I have nothing to do with rape. I’m going to surrender and tell everything,” he said.
