With a wave of covid that has been raging in the region since last August, next Monday it will begin the double vaccination campaign against the coronavirus and the flu aimed at one of the most sensitive population groups: those over 80 years of age. According to the latest data from the Galician Statistical Institute (IGE), in the region there are a total of 10,044 inhabitantss who already overcome the barrier of eight decades and who will receive the fifth dose to combat or try to minimize the effects of covid-19, as well as another to do the same against flu viruses.

As explained by the Minister of Health, Julio García Comesaña, this year there are two types of flu vaccines: a tetravalent one for the entire population under 80 years of age, and another high load for people over eight decades of age and for users of nursing homes aged 60 or over. Two weeks
