EGNATIA STREET
In an auction, Egnatia Odos S.A. double tender for the operation and maintenance of the highway. The time horizon of the dual project was set at six months, enough time until the process of granting the highway to the GEK TERNA-EGIS PROJECTS scheme is completed.
The double tender is necessary as the previous one concerning the maintenance and operation of the highway expires, so until the signatures for the concession of Egnatia Odos, third party services are again needed for the proper operation of the highway. The contracting authority is Egnatia Odos S.A.
As stated in the tender notice, the overall deadline for the execution of the project is set at six (6) months from 01-07-2023 to 31-12-2023 or even earlier if the concessionaire that will be selected following a tender process by the TAIPED does not wish to its continuation.
In such a case, “EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” terminates the contract in writing without compensation for itself, for the Greek government and for TAIPED. This possibility of “EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” takes into account each interested party in order to formulate their Financial Offer appropriately.
What is the object
The object is the maintenance, operation and improvement of all Civil Engineering projects and E-M installations of the Motorway and its vertical axes – open road construction and tunnels.
The first competition concerns the eastern part of Egnatia and more specifically:
1. In the section of Egnatia Odos (motorway A2): from A/K 17 Kleidiu (XTH: 289) to Evros Gardens (XTH: 657.7), approximately 368.7 km long.
2. In the section of the Vertical Axis A-1: from A/K 19 Axios/Chalastras (XTH: 0 / XTH PATHE: 485) to I/K Idomenis (XTH: 59.9 / XTH PATHE: 544.9) .
3. In the section of the Vertical Axis A-25: from A/K 24 Lagadas (XTH: 0) to I/K at XTH: 95.5 (before S.S. Promachona).
4. In the section of the Vertical Axis A-23: from I/K Komotini (XTH: 0) to the Greek-Bulgarian Border (XTH: 21.9).
The cost of the project was estimated at an amount including VAT of 9.46 million euros (amount without VAT of 7.63 million euros). The auction will start with the submission of the files on May 5 and the unsealing of the bids will take place on May 12.
The second competition concerns the western part of Egnatia and in more detail:
1. On the section of Egnatia Road (A2 motorway) from the exit of Limenas Igoumenitsa (XTH: 0) to A/K 17 Kleidi
(XTH: 289).
2. On the A-29 Vertical Axis of Egnatia Street, from A/K 9B West. Siatistas (XTH: 0) until K/K in XTH: 69.2 (before
Border Station (S.S.) Krystallopigi).
The cost of the project was estimated at an amount including VAT of 12.58 million euros (amount without VAT of 10.15 million euros). The auction will start with the submission of the files on May 5 and the unsealing of the bids will take place on May 11.
