Corona virus positive caseCovid-19) increased by 25,830 and again broke the record high today, Friday (2/7). This addition brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia to 2,228,938 since President Joko Widodo was first announced in early March 2020.
Of the total positive cases, 1,901,865 of them have recovered. Patients who recovered after being infected with the corona virus increased by 11,578 from the previous day.
Patients who died after being infected with the corona virus increased by 539 today. Thus, the number of positive Covid-19 patients who died in Indonesia has now reached 59,534 people.
The number of specimens examined was 153,608. Meanwhile, active cases increased by 13,713 from the previous day, bringing the total to 267,539.
The daily addition of COVID-19 is known to have penetrated 20,000 cases over the past few years. The record high reached 24,836 cases on July 1 yesterday.

Positive cases of Covid-19 soared several weeks after the long Eid holiday. Not only positive patients, the number of people who died also increased. So far, many areas have had difficulty dealing with the growing number of new patients.
Hospital occupancy rate or bed occupancy rate (BOR) has also reached more than 90 percent in a number of regions. Hundreds of health workers have tested positive and some have died.
The government has also decided to implement an emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) in Java and Bali from 3-20 July.
Community activities are also limited, including working from home 100 percent, shopping centers being completely closed, closing places of worship, online schools, and limiting wedding activities to a maximum of 30 people.
