Flight attendant Veronica Rojas got on her knees before her friend, pilot Alejandra Moncayo. She did so aboard a special ‘Pride’ plane, which Alaska Airlines is flying this month.
Getting to know you on board
Rojas and Moncayo also met in 2020 during an Alaska Airlines flight. It was love at first sight, they say on the airline’s website† “I immediately thought: wow, this lady, she is really perfect.”

When she told her boss about her plan to propose, he immediately agreed. Rojas asked her friend to join her on a trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Halfway through the flight, she got on her knees.
Of course Moncayo said ‘yes’ to the proposal. But it didn’t stop there: once in Los Angeles, her friend also got down on her knees. She also turned out to have planned a proposal.
