To Thailand and Iceland
In “One Million Minutes,” a child’s wish becomes the leitmotif for an entire family: the couple Vera (Karoline Herfurth) and Wolf (Tom Schilling) live a seemingly happy life in Berlin with their five-year-old daughter Nina and their one-year-old son Simon. Embedded in a system that is not very family-oriented, the strenuous balancing act between work, career and family increasingly wears the couple down. When daughter Nina is diagnosed with a fine motor and coordination disorder, the family’s life model begins to falter. Nina’s subsequent wish for a million minutes that they could spend together doing only nice things opens her father Wolf’s eyes. Perhaps a million minutes are more valuable than a successful career. So the family sets off on the journey of a lifetime for 694 days – a million minutes, that is – first to Thailand, then to Iceland. The Küpers set out to find a new, different life model and realize every day anew: We only have one minute. Based on the novel of the same name by Wolf Küper, “One Million Minutes” is a fairy tale from present-day Germany – and the true story of a family in which a father is infected by his daughter’s dreams and four people take the journey of their lives.
“Trolls – Strong Together” is about the two trolls Poppy (German voice: Lena Meyer-Landrut) and Branch (Mark Forster), who have always been best friends and inseparable. But now they finally admit their feelings and officially become a couple. Everything is going great until a stranger from Branch’s past suddenly appears and reveals himself to be his brother John Dory. After “Trolls” part 1 and the second part, “Trolls World Tour”, the third part, “Trolls – Strong Together”, is another colorful and musical sequel.
