From January 1, 2022, the minimum wage for work in Poland is PLN 3010 gross. The minimum hourly rate is PLN 19.70. After increasing the tax-free amount to PLN 30,000 under the Polish Deal, the employee receives more than last year. How did this affect salaries?

- The calculations that we present in the gallery were made on the basis of the official, updated salary calculator, which is available on government websites. It takes into account tax changes as part of the “Polish Order” and allows you to check what is the difference in the net salary in 2022 compared to the salary before the tax changes.
For our calculations, we assumed that the employee:
▶ receives the same salary every month
▶ does not work outside the place of residence
▶ he / she is entitled to an amount reducing the tax due (PIT-2 submitted)

The increase in salary to PLN 3010 gross meansthat the employee would get around PLN 2210 “on hand” on the current basis. However, if we calculate the remuneration taking into account tax changes as part of the “Polish Order”, the minimum net salary will amount to over PLN 2,363.56.
