At first, he claimed that ADSU had false information on him and claims that he is not involved in any drug trafficking. A search was carried out in his presence and the police came across a plastic bag containing heroin pellets, the market value of which is estimated at Rs 1,875,000. Asked about the presence of this drug, the suspect remained silent.
In view of the way the drugs were packaged, ADSU suspects that it was a mule that may have passed through the cracks of the authorities at the port or at the airport. The police also requisitioned Jean Marc Empeigne’s cell phone. The latter was taken to the ADSU headquarters, to the central barracks, for the procedures of his arrest. He was subsequently taken into custody pending his provisional criminal charges for drug trafficking.
