Mattéo Guendouzi will not be credited with his first double in Ligue 1 and therefore his third personal goal of the season. The LFP has confirmed the award of OM-Lorient’s 4th goal to Houboulang Mendes. In stoppage time, the Lorient defender had countered a strike from the Marseille midfielder who had ended his race in the nets of Paul Nardi. Looking at the slow motion, it did not seem framed. This was also judged by the League to the chagrin of the Marseille number 6 who declared after the meeting in the mixed zone: “I’m sure of myself, I know I’m a double scorer, the shot was on target.”
A goal and a decisive pass, anyway
The former Lorient will be able to console himself by telling himself that he was all the same decisive in the success of the Olympian against his training club. He notably scored the second goal with a splendid header on a corner from Dimitri Payet which allowed his team to regain the advantage and was already involved in the first goal (assist for Kamara). Guendouzi had released his goal counter under the OM jersey during the success (3-1) against ASSE in September.
