Double Fatality Shootings Shake New Orleans in Separate Incidents

Two⁤ Separate ⁣Shootings in New Orleans Leave Three⁣ Dead

New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is currently investigating two separate shootings that occurred just minutes apart on Sunday evening, August ‍27th.

The first incident took place in the 12000⁤ block of I-10 ​Service Road. Initial reports from the‌ NOPD came in at approximately 5:41 p.m., and confirmations followed at 6:37 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. The victims have been identified as a 15-year-old and an 11-year-old. Tragically, the 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the⁤ scene.

Shortly after the⁤ first ⁤shooting, police responded to another incident in the 2600 block of Poydras Street. Reports indicate that police received word​ of the shooting at 5:58 p.m., and it was confirmed at 6:17 p.m. ⁢When officers arrived at the scene, they found two individuals suffering from gunshot ‍wounds. Unfortunately, one​ of‍ the⁤ victims was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both investigations are currently active and ongoing. The NOPD has ⁤not released any further details regarding the‍ shootings at this time.
