R3. Douarnenez Gas d’Ys de Tréboul
The Tréboulistes did not miss their return to R3 last season. A sixth place and a handily acquired position under the leadership of the Herry – Le Signe tandem. Change of coaches for this new exercise, Gwendal Kervarec and Tangui Héréus took charge. “This is the first time in its 96 years of existence that the Gas d’Ys have maintained their position at league level. It’s an achievement,” admits Gwendal Kervarec.
The offseason saw two important departures in Alan Brouquel and Nathan Madezo.
The Gas D’Ys have blown hot after cold to start the 2023-24 campaign. A big setback at home (1-4) against Quimper Italia, followed by a great performance in Plozévet (0-4). “We wanted to test a new game system. It didn’t really work! In Plozévet we returned to a classic basis. The result proves that we are sufficiently equipped to hold our own in this R3 group,” continues the youngest of the pair, 24 years old.
Florian Cabillic in the lead
“It was more than good in Plozévet, a good refresher after our disappointment on the first day,” adds Tangui Héréus. This year we will have to count on our captain Florian Cabillic. He set an example in Plozévet. The objective is to maintain it. It’s up to us to collect the points before December and January and the meetings with the big cars in the championship. »
