From Monday over 85 will be able to book for vaccination and then from March 1st it will be up to those born between 1937 and 1941. A subdivision decided by the Region to avoid queues and blockages in the system. “Ma there will be enough doses for all our 80-year-olds“Reassures the Dr. Raffaella Angelini, responsible for public health of the Ausl Romagna. You can book through the channels used for visits and exams: by going to the Cups, at the Pharmacy, by calling the Ausl booking numbers, or on the web with the electronic health record, the Cup Web (www.cupweb.it) or the ‘ER Salute’ app. “If someone finds blockages in the first few days, they can try later because without a shadow of a doubt there will be a vaccine for everyone over 80”Says Angelini again, a guest of Real time. To book the vaccine you will not need a medical prescription but simply the personal data or the tax code.
But how is the vaccination campaign going so far? “We are running out of administration in nursing homes these days – explains the doctor – “and, as mentioned, we will soon begin that of over 80. This can significantly change the severity of the disease in terms of hospital admissions“. Hospitalizations which, in the face of a slight recovery in infections, are already decreasing. “As for the health personnel – continues Angelini – 80% of doctors were vaccinated. A percentage that rises to 85% including those who have not been vaccinated because they have contracted the virus and are currently covered. This shows that those who know the vaccine are not afraid of it.“Even among nurses (the Oss behind) there is a high percentage: at the moment about 70%. And the results of these administrations are already noticeable. “In the second week of December – recalls the head of public health of the Ausl Romagna -, compared to a number of cases similar to those of last week, we had 6% of infections among health personnel. Now that percentage has dropped to 0.7%. This means that the vaccination campaign is bearing fruit.“In light of a trend that however marks an increase in positivity, Dr. Angelini launches an appeal. “When you enter the yellow zone you need even more attention and instead it seems that the opposite happens. And to make the situation worse there is also the circulation of the English variant of the virus which is more contagious so we must expect a further increase.”
