Dortmund –
Jadon Sancho still sluggish at Manchester United so far. It makes the CEO Borussia Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke, sad to see it.
Sancho left Dortmund this summer. He joined MU, after being redeemed for 73 million pounds, or around Rp 1.45 trillion.
However, his appearance at MU is still not shining. From seven appearances, he has not contributed a goal or assist.
Of his seven appearances, Sancho has also only started three times. The rest, he had to settle for entering from the bench.
Even in the last game of Manchester United, when they were defeated by Aston Villa 0-1 at Old Trafford, Solskjaer did not play Sancho. The 21-year-old winger just sat on the bench.
The situation of the player in Manchester United that’s what makes Dortmund boss Watzke sad. Because, Jadon Sancho actually have more capabilities that managers should consider.
“I love Jadon. When you see him play, you definitely shed tears,” he told SPORT1, which was reported by the Mirror.
“It hurts my soul to know he has been given so little consideration. I think the problem is that he was not placed in the England national team,” he explained.
Of Borussia Dortmund, Sancho is so shining. The Manchester City academy dropout made 50 goals and 64 assists for the Bundesliga club.
Previously, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explained that Sancho was considered a little depressed. Playing with several stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane is considered to make him depressed.
“I think you’re right, both with Raphael Varane and Cristiano coming in, it puts a bit of pressure on a lad,” said Solskjaer.
“He’s 21, he’s still learning about the game, he’s learning how we train, he’s learning how we play, he’s learning the Premier League, but he comes with a hunger to learn.”
“We knew his talent, and we signed him thinking we would have a top striker here for the next 10 or 12 years.
“Jadon has been good, but it’s a shame he was sick just as he was about to come in. So he was out for a bit, and missed a bit of pre-season. But he’s working hard and he’ll be fine,” said Solskjaer.
