It has been haunted in various media and forums for several weeks, now we can confirm it: Emilio Romig will appear next season for the Steinbach Black Wings from Linz.
The 28-year-old from Vienna was brought back from the States towards the end of the 2017/2018 season and then made his debut in the EBEL.
At the end of the 2018/19 season, his time with the Vienna Capitals came to an end after 86 appearances with 26 scorer points and the winger moved to the Ländle to the Dornbirn Bulldogs.
With these he was immediately appointed “Alternate Captain” and also made his debut for the Austrian national team. Romig played 97 games in two seasons for the Bulldogs, scored 22 hits and 35 assists and was the Austrian with the best points in the Vorarlberg team recently.
Now he moves on and joins the Steinbach Black Wings. Hockey-News got the transfer from insider circles confirmed. On the part of the clubs, it will probably take some time before the implementation becomes official.
