The Dornbirn Bulldogs have strengthened themselves with Vitalijs Pavlovs for the upcoming qualification round in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League.
The 31-year-old Latvian played for his hometown of Riga in the KHL for seven seasons. In 281 games he had 41 scorer points (19G | 22A). He also gained experience at short notice in the Finnish second division. In the 2014/15 season, the Latvian international played for the Colorado Eagles in the ECHL.
The newcomer completed his first individual session on the ice in the Dornbirn exhibition stadium on Monday. A use as early as Tuesday in the home game against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 broadcast live by Sky Sport Austria is possible.
In the current season, Pavlovs is the sixth Latvian to lace up his shoes on the ICE. Compatriot Nikita Jevpalovs (36GP / 8G / 14A) is successful in the Bulldogs and is fourth in the team’s internal scorer ranking behind Rapuzzi, Yogan and Macierzynski.
