Dorival Júnior to Announce Brazilian Team Call-up for Copa América and Friendlies – Live Broadcast

The coach Dorival Júnior will announce this Friday the list of players called to represent the Brazilian team in the Copa América and in the friendlies before the tournament, in June. It is expected that the names will be announced for 12 pm (Brasilia time), at the CBF headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, and ge will broadcast the call live. Before that, at 11am, Art Elias will announce the women’s team for the last friendlies before the Paris Olympic Games.

This is Dorival’s second call-up at the helm of the Seleção, where he arrived at the start of the year, replacing Fernando Diniz – the name chosen to succeed Tite at the end of the 2022 World Cup on the list will focus on the Copa América, which will be played in the United States between June 14 and July 14, but it will also be used for friendly matches against Mexico, on June 8, and the USA itself, on the 12th , both on North American soil.

The plan of the technical committee is for those who are called who work abroad to present themselves on the 30th, while athletes who defend the Brazilian teams are expected from June 3. Among the foreign athletes, there will be the possible players from Real Madrid, who will compete in the final of the Champions League, on June 1, in London. Vini Jr and Rodrygo were called in the coach’s first call, and Éder Militão was injured.

Brazilian preparations for the Copa América will be held in Orlando, Florida. The first trip for Dorival’s men will be against Costa Rica, on June 24, at the SoFi Stadium, in Inglewood, near Los Angeles, California. After that, the team will still face Paraguay and Colombia in the group stage.

To finalize the squad list, Dorival traveled to Europe at the end of April with technical manager Juan, to watch and speak personally with players who play on the continent. He passed through Germany, Italy and Portugal.
