Dorce Gamalama: I don’t want to sit in a wheelchair, I want to walk the yard all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Master of Ceremony Dorce Gamalama has great determination to recover and be able to walk again on his own feet.

Previously, Dorce Gamalama had been in the spotlight after uploading a video asking for help to the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Since being sick and requiring intensive treatment at the hospital, Dorce has also been assisted by other public officials such as the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Eric Thohir and President Joko Widodo.

“Like Megawati, it’s like who gave 150, Pak Jokowi gave 200, thank God. I just didn’t ask, sir, for money, sir, just because it was given, so I accepted. This later, the Governor will come here,” Dorce was quoted as saying Kompas.com from YouTube Denny Sumargo, Sunday (23/1/2022).

Despite having received a lot of medical assistance, Dorce claims it is not enough because his goals have not been achieved.

Dorce was determined to recover and be able to walk again on two legs.

Currently Dorce is still complaining of pain in the right leg.

“Not yet (enough), I can’t walk yet, I want to walk. I don’t want to sit in a wheelchair, I want to walk,” he said.

Dorce said, a wheelchair worth tens of millions was meaningless if he couldn’t recover and walk again.

“If I just sit in a wheelchair, which costs tens of millions of dollars, I can buy it, but what do I do in a wheelchair too,” he said.

“But if everything is carried out (the treatment process) it’s okay. This is my house, there’s a stage here,” he continued.

Dorce, who is currently diagnosed with diabetes and Alzheimer’s dementia, wants to show the public that he is struggling to get better.

“I want to come back (healthy), but I leave everything to God, like Mom wants to say we leave everything to God, if God gives me pain, it’s okay, but if God can it won’t take long,” he said. .

As previously reported, Dorce was treated at the Primaya Hospital in West Bekasi because his condition was deteriorating and he even fainted in early October 2021.

At the end of the same month, Dorce Gamalama was again hospitalized.

Dorce was taken to the Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) because he complained of pain in the right chest.

Finally, when comedian Sule visited his home in early January 2022, Dorce still couldn’t walk because his right leg was still swollen.
