d’Or – Politics. Senators: the first reactions of the new senators from Côte-d’Or

What to remember this Sunday evening

The outgoing senators were all re-elected in Côte-d’Or this Sunday. Alain Houpert (LR), Anne-Catherine Loisier (UDI) and François Patriat (LREM) are renewed for 6 years at the Palais du Luxembourg.

Arrived in 3rd position, the list of Colette Popard does not obtain a senator. Indeed, the list on the right, which came first, obtained more double votes than that on the left (701 against 321). This allows Anne-Catherine Loisier, 2nd on the right list, to be elected as well.

Who was elected from our neighbors?

In Saone-et-Loire, the three tickets went to the duo Marie Mercier / Fabien Genet (Les Républicains) and Jérôme Durain (PS).

In the Yonne, two seats were to be filled. The first of them was won by Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne (LREM), Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs. It is his deputy, Marie-Agnès Evrard, who will therefore sit. The second ticket goes to Dominique Verien (UDI).

In the Territory of Belfort, the outgoing senator Cédric Perrin (LR) was re-elected in the first round.

In Haute-Saône, Alain Joyandet (LR) was also re-elected, unsurprisingly. Olivier Rietmann (LR) will accompany him to the Palais du Luxembourg. This is a first for him.

In the Doubs, the centrist senator Jean-François Longeot was largely re-elected, just like Jacques Grosperrin (LR). The third seat of the department falls to Annick Jacquemet, second on Jean-François Longeot’s list.

We did not vote in the other departments of the region since only half of the Senate was renewed this year.
