“The bigger it is, the more it goes,” the popular saying goes. But not for the security service of Galeries Lafayette in Dijon. Saturday, December 26, at 2 p.m., the vigilantes of the sign asked for a police crew. Indeed, they have just detained two men who tried to steal two Lacoste brand jackets, worth € 265 each. Their technique? Blow up the locks, put on the jackets and leave the store without paying. Spotted, they were picked up just before their escape and were taken to Place Suquet to be auditioned. The first, a 28-year-old homeless man, has already been convicted of similar acts and admitted the facts. He receives a summons from a judicial police officer, COPJ. He will justify himself before the Tribunal in the coming weeks. His 29-year-old friend, for his part, assured that he would pay for the property when he left, as he usually does. He also gets a COPJ, for simple theft. The facts of theft in a meeting were not retained.
