The mayor of Chalon-sur-Saône reacted in a statement early in the evening.

In this particularly in-depth investigation, carried out by great reporters who know their subject by heart after having been in the field for many years, in France, the Middle East and elsewhere in the world, the revelations are very worrying about the growing control of Muslim Brotherhood in Burgundy in general and in Dijon in particular.
However, instead of explaining to us why he has maintained for all these recent years such demonstrative relations with this imam who belongs to a brotherhood which has set itself the goal of establishing Sharia law in France, Mr. Rebsamen is attempting a rude maneuver of diversion by declaring himself willing to file a complaint against me.
On what grounds? To have told the truth on the basis of the information which many held and which was completely confirmed by an investigation journalist in any irreproachable point?
Are we aware that by evoking the Muslim Brotherhood, we are talking about a brotherhood that belongs to an Islamo-terrorist nebula?
The subject is too serious to be buried by the gesticulation of the mayor of Dijon, if the complaint is actually filed (1st condition) and especially if it is considered admissible by the public prosecutor (2nd condition).
If this were to be the case, I will have the protagonists who hold the truth about this affair cited at this trial. And then, the nature of the trial will change: it will become that of Mr. Rebsamen’s links with the Dijon representative of the Muslim Brotherhood. “
