DOOM Eternal is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 8th

DOOM Eternal makes your Switch warm as hell

The Switch port of DOOM Eternal was no longer a secret, but a release date was still missing. However, it is now known that the game will sweat Switch consoles around the world on December 8.

Id Software remains committed to releasing Switch ports for their games. In collaboration with Panic Button they released earlier DOOM (2016), Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus in Wolfenstein: Youngblood to Nintendo’s successful console. On December 8th they release DOOM Eternal out as digital Switch version.

The version will also support “Motion Aiming”, which allows you to aim using the gyro controls. Combining that option with the joystick increases accuracy. An option that you know from, for example The Legend of Zelda, but which definitely has a use in just about all high-focus games.

Players can get started with the single player campaign or online in 2v1 battles in the ‘Battlemode’. DOOM Eternal was nominated for four categories at the 2020 Game Awards, including Game of the Year and Action Game of the Year.
