Don’t owe the bank any more, you can now pay your mortgage with your Infonavit

Ciudad Juárez.- The Infonavit delegation in Chihuahua has announced a new credit for the Payment of Liabilities, which will allow employees to transfer their mortgage debts previously acquired by a bank to the Institute.

According to the delegation, this measure offers several benefits to workers, such as a lower interest rate that is between 3.76% and 10.45%, depending on their income level.

In addition, monthly payments will be set, which will allow employees to better plan their finances. They will also be able to pay off their credit faster, because their employer’s contributions will go directly to the capital of the debt.

Infonavit has indicated that borrowers, under this scheme, can make advance payments or settle their credit without penalty. In addition, they will have access to different payment solutions in case they have problems with paying, as the Institute offers different options for keeping up with it.

The credit for Payment of Obligations has two financing methods, which depend on the amount the employee has saved in the Housing Sub-Account and what he has in the bank.

1. Payment of obligations with a guaranteed mortgage: If your savings are in a Housing Subaccount
less than the debt with the financial institution, the Institution will give you credit for the amount
necessary to settle the debt and your house remains as collateral.

2. Payment of obligations with a guarantee on the Balance of the Housing Subaccount: If your savings from the
A housing sub-account is more than the debt, the guarantee is the amount left in
the Subaccount, after deducting the amount used to pay the bank.
