“To be or not to be?”, almost everyone knows this famous quote. It is from the theater classic par excellence: Hamlet. The play by William Shakespeare can now be seen in a brilliant new production by the Freie Schauspiel Ensemble at TITANIA (Basaltstr. 23, 60487 Frankfurt am Main).
The Main-Taunus Catholic Adult Education Center allows those interested to visit the theater at a reduced price of 16 euros per person on Friday, November 10th, at 8 p.m.
A total of three hours (with a break) is about the fate of the Danish Prince Hamlet – in a tragedy about murder and melancholy, about revenge and madness. The more than four hundred year old piece is still modern today in its complexity.
Critics praise the Free Drama Ensemble’s production: “In Bockenheimer TITANIA the Free Drama Ensemble has stood up to large stages. This ‘Hamlet’ (…) left even theater-weary viewers speechless. The intelligent direction, the speaking skills of the ensemble, the energetic exertion of the protagonist in the form of Yves Pancera, the alternation of quiet and shrill moments – everything is astonishing” (FAZ).
