Mumbai: Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan does not know why he is not being considered for the Twenty20 team. At the same time, Dhawan said that he does not think much about the team selection and tries to give the best in cricket. “Honestly, I don’t know why I wasn’t considered for the team. “I haven’t played Twenty20 for India in a long time,” Dhawan told a national media.
“We are not ready to think more about the team selection. All opportunities are used to play well. Trying to do well in all competitions like IPL, domestic cricket and ODIs. That is the only thing that is under my control.” – Dhawan clarified. Dhawan said that he still enjoys playing ODI cricket.
“I am enjoying ODI cricket a lot. Still interested in playing ODIs. Just as Test and Twenty20 matches have their own value, ODI cricket is also great. Virat Kohli will return to form soon. If that happens, nothing can stop him.” – Dhawan responded. Dhawan has played 68 international matches in Twenty20 and has scored 1759 runs including 11 fifties. The player last played a Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka in July last year.
