Don’t kill our children: Russia sending concerts to Kursk? ᐉ News from Fakti.bg – World

Reports from several Russian regions, such as Murmansk and Kaliningrad Oblasts, have appeared on Russian social networks, indicating that compositions from local military units are being moved to Kursk Oblast. It is mainly about stories about mothers or wives of Russian compositions. They claim that a special “Kursk battalion” was created and that all questions from relatives to the army commander have not been answered so far.

The compositions can be allocated to serve the rear: to ensure logistics, prepare reinforcement facilities and protect military equipment, military analyst Jan Matveev told DV. It is doubtful that poorly trained soldiers will be sent to the front line. At the same time, he specifies that there are no safe places in this region. “Logistics routes are on fire – with artillery and drones. In addition, small Ukrainian intelligence agencies infiltrate from time to time. Ie Whatever the conscripts in the Kursk region are formally involved in, they can engage in full-scale combat operations.”

Relatives of captured conscripts seek help from Putin

After the start of the hostilities in the Kursk region, several petitions appeared on the site change.org to prevent the participation of dissidents in the hostilities. About 10,000 people signed three of them, addressed to Russian President Putin, in nine days. As one of the petitions says, “students of yesterday can only carry weights and dig with a shovel” – they cannot fight against the professional army of Ukraine.

Another petition calls for the exchange of conscripts captured in Ukrainian captivity. They should be given the status of “combat veterans”, compensation and guarantees like mercenaries, saying in the document sent to Putin “They left our sons without the necessary support,” said the authors.

What relatives of the conscripts say

Nadezhda from Tyumen, who is trying to find her friend, who was conscripted into the Russian army and disappeared in the Kursk region, tells DV that “the authorities are inactive” , and she was told in the military area that they have no information that her relative has been found in captivity.

Svetlana Plesovskaya from Komi also demanded that all conscripts be removed from the combat zone. “Don’t kill our children, give them back to us,” she asks on Telegram.

In a video that is circulating on Ukrainian social networks, young people with blind eyes say that they are Russian collaborators who have been captured by Ukrainian units. “We are disputants, we defended the defense in the Kursk region, and then we were captured. We ask you to exchange us for fighters from the regiment “Azov”, according to the Association of Families of the Defenders “Azovstal”, there may be about 700 fighters in Russian captivity. “Financial Times” reports that talks have begun between Ukraine and Russia regarding the exchange of prisoners of war.

What can relatives of observers do?

Formally, sending conscripts to the territory of the Russian Federation does not violate the laws, notes the human rights project “Capture the Forest”. the parents of the conscripts have doubts that their children are being sent to the combat zone, they can send a complaint to the administration of the president of Russia, to the ombudsman, to the military prosecutor’s office and to the investigative committee of their children from the zone of war

The command in the various military units of Russia is forcing congressmen to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense, Ivan Chuvilyaev, coordinator of “Capture the Forest”, tells DV to send money to your mothers. Chuvilyaev says that so far not a single case of desertion of conscripts is known, but he is sure that they will become many in the near future – as happened in the case of the failed offensive by the Russian army in the direction of Kharkiv .
