Al Marsad newspaper: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease develops in four main stages, the last of which is known as cirrhosis.
And one of the serious warning signs of this life-threatening condition can be monitored in the abdomen, which is ascites (accumulation of fluid in the abdomen), according to the British newspaper “Express”.
Signs of ascites include bloating and swelling in the abdomen, which can lead to pain and discomfort, and you may also experience nausea and loss of appetite, according to the British Liver Trust.
In addition to ascites, cirrhosis also causes symptoms, including:
1- Feeling tired and weak.
2-feeling nauseous.
3-anorexia.
4-Loss of weight and muscle mass.
5- Red spots on the palms of the hands and small spider-like blood vessels on the skin (spider hemangiomas) above the waist level
6-vomiting of blood
7-itchy skin.
8-Bleeding or bruising easily
9-Swelling of the legs (oedema) or abdomen (ascites) due to fluid accumulation
10-loss of sexual desire.
